What we do.
PARTNER WITH OTHERS
SEND QUALIFIED PEOPLE
TRAIN CHURCH LEADERS
ASSIST IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
.......................................
Send qualified people.
PICI offers many opportunities for service, whether for one week or an entire career, or somewhere in between. We are a "faith-based" mission where those who are sent for any opportunity raise their own financial support.
Short-Term Teams
PICI works in partnership with local churches
and organizations by bringing together short-term teams from North
America and partnering them with indigenous churches. Together, these believers communicate the love of
Christ and the gospel message through combined ministry activities
with an emphasis on outreach and service to the communities in
which they work.
PICI matches the gifts and needs of each North American church
team with a specific ministry opportunity which represents and
contributes to the vision of the indigenous partner church. We offer
a variety of teams which accomplish this goal including work
projects, community service, music, medical/dental, sports, and
English camps. PICI provides lodging, transportation, orientation
and training, translation services, and facilitates the direction
and purpose of each ministry team.
We are committed to providing a successful cross-cultural
ministry experience for each team that not only edifies each team
member, but also strengthens the local church with whom they
minister.

Internships Internships are customized
learning and serving experiences for individuals, what we call
TIME—Total Immersion Missionary Experience. We provide opportunities
to not only experience another culture, but also to learn what
mission work and service in a different cultural context is all
about. Internships are designed around the needs, skills, education,
experience, and language level of the individual and the particular
needs of our field staff and partners. Term length can range from
several weeks to two years.
Long-Term Service As a sending agency,
we place long-term and career workers in field positions. We are
very flexible on term length, field and type of service, and
training requirements. We seek to match the life and work
experiences, education level, gifts and skills of those considering
long-term service to specific field and partner needs and
requirements. With our wide network of partners, we can place people
in a variety of locations and positions.
The home office of PICI provides our long-term staff with
financial services and back office administration by sending
financial statements to supporters, managing support and expense
accounts, helping to raise funds for special projects, and providing
health insurance and a retirement plan.
